Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Physical Education and Health Educator to join our team at Tsilhqot'in/Carrier/Sekani. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a comprehensive Physical Education and Health program for K-7 students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a full-year Physical Education and Health program for 75 K-7 students.
  • Provide daily instruction, assessment, evaluations, and reporting for all students.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and enjoyment.
  • Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in the school's co-curricular program and maintain high behavioral expectations and student safety at all times.
  • Supervise and collaborate with classroom EA's and other instructional staff to support student learning.
  • Support the SpiritNorth program and contribute to the overall well-being of students.
Requirements
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate from the TRB, Category 5.
  • Strong qualifications and growth mindsets.
  • Ability to model the school's values and implement the First Nations Principles of Learning and the First Nations Teaching Standards.
