About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydroelectric Power Station Supervisor to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our hydroelectric power stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Power Systems and Operators: Oversee the daily operations of our power systems and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Manage Operations and Maintenance: Coordinate with our maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Lead a Team of Operators: Supervise a team of power system operators and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all operations are in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor and Analyze Performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of our power stations and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the hydroelectric power industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and any other relevant certifications.
