We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team at Thomson Power Systems, a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for the Power Generation Industry. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining programs and systems that enhance environmental, health, and safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legislative, corporate, and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Collaborate with operations and field service leaders to promote a proactive EHS culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage EHS-related training, audits, and inspections to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and maintain EHS records, reports, and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of BC Occupational, Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and requirements.
  • Experience with incident investigation methods and root cause analysis.
