Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate wood products.
  • Quality Control: Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Maintenance: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Programming: Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read blueprints and drawings to understand production requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Computerized woodworking machine, routers, and CNC machines.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
