About the Role

Mumbai Central is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and execute menus, estimate food requirements, and requisition food and kitchen supplies to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, taking into account food allergies and intolerances, and special meal requirements as instructed by dietitians or chefs.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, order supplies and equipment, and recruit and hire staff to ensure a well-functioning kitchen team.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards in food preparation, presentation, and service, and ensure that all kitchen operations are in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
