Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide therapy services to individuals with complex mental health illnesses and medical conditions, enabling them to achieve optimal health outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation methodology and the ability to identify and address emotional, social, and environmental barriers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with complex mental health issues
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and develop outcome-oriented therapy services
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Manage conflict situations and aggressive behavior using non-violent crisis intervention techniques
Requirements:
  • Masters of Social Work degree (M.Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with relevant work experience will also be considered)
  • Current full registration with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW)
  • Recent experience working in a psychiatric or counselling setting with individuals who have complex mental health issues
