Key Responsibilities
The Lead Java Engineer will oversee the functional architecture and development of software applications across diverse technologies and platforms. This role involves providing strategic consultation to senior leadership on a broad range of current and emerging technology infrastructures, translating user needs into actionable process and data requirements, and crafting solutions that drive substantial business value. The Lead Java Engineer will also offer technical guidance to ensure that the developed specifications meet organizational objectives. Furthermore, this position entails providing high-level technical advice to other IT leaders and teams, often making critical technology choices in scenarios where business needs are not fully articulated.

How You Will Excel
- Strategic Design & Implementation: Lead and coordinate intricate solution design initiatives. Grasp business requirements and convert them into system and application designs that align with our technological vision. Document and design the technical functionalities, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations. Spearhead the creation of innovative and cost-effective solutions that fulfill both business goals and operational efficiency.
- Technology Strategy: Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps that reflect the bank's strategic vision and objectives. Manage multiple complex technology projects while ensuring consistency across platforms, adopting best practices, and driving continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the solution lead, collaborating with project teams to facilitate design review sessions that ensure alignment with business requirements and architectural standards. Mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
Who You Are
- Extensive Java Experience: You possess 8-10+ years of experience in Java, including designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications with proficiency in various technologies such as Databases (Oracle, SQL Server), Cloud (Azure, AWS), ETL (Informatica, SSIS), and Linux OS, along with tools like Git, TFS, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.
