Job Title: Lead Java Engineer

MBI Digital Corp is seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying complex Java-based web applications and supporting enterprise cloud-based software platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in building, designing, architecting, running, and debugging Java-based web applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a team of Java and DevOps engineers in a global delivery and support model.

You will work closely with our Issue Manager to ensure proper escalations, client communication, and resolution. This is a 100% remote opportunity with a multi-year project engagement.

The successful candidate will be required to work on weekends from Friday through Monday in 11-hour shifts between 7am-6pm Central Time, including a 1-hour break. You will also be expected to act as a backup for weekday late-night shifts if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy complex Java-based web applications
  • Support enterprise cloud-based software platforms
  • Manage a team of Java and DevOps engineers
  • Work closely with the Issue Manager to ensure proper escalations and client communication
  • Develop and maintain large-scale distributed, fault-tolerant systems
  • Implement and support an enterprise scheduling platform
  • Implement and configure application monitoring solution tools
  • Lead and manage the support of a mission-critical system through Priority 1 Issues
  • Lead and manage staff on daily assignments, development, and deployments
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with distributed cloud architecture and implementations, specifically Azure services
  • Experience with Log4J, ActiveBatch, RabbitMQ, Apache Ignite, AngularJS, React, Swagger, Postman, ELK, Azure Containers, Azure SSO, and Azure DB
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with API logging, versioning, public/private, and security concepts
