Job Title: Transportation and Rigging Specialist

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Transportation and Rigging Specialist to join our team in Delta, BC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Transportation and Rigging Specialist to support our estimating and operations staff with transport and rigging drawings. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively manage internal and external customer issues and inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport and Rigging Drawings: Produce CAD drawings for estimating and operations departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Transportation and Rigging Plans: Develop transportation and/or rigging plans for respective clients/projects, considering safety and feasibility.
  • External Communication: Be the primary point of contact for external consultants and customer's engineers, fostering good work relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Develop creative solutions for customer's projects, thinking outside the box to solve problems and meet customer expectations.
  • Permit Requests: Take the lead on permit requests and approvals, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Engineering Analysis: Conduct preliminary engineering analysis to assist estimators in custom fabrication requirements, providing accurate and reliable data.
  • Quote Reviews: Participate in quote reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Industry Events: Attend regular industry events to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our services.
  • Safe Work Plans: Prepare safe work plans for field work, prioritizing employee safety and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Education: EIT, C-Tech, A.Sc Tech, P-Eng or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience: Previous construction-related experience, with a strong understanding of transportation and rigging principles.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively manage internal and external customer issues and inquiries.
  • Computer Skills: Well-developed computer and communication skills, with strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and AutoCAD skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License.
