Job Title: Welder-Assembler

Lainco inc. is seeking a skilled Welder-Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components to meet the highest quality standards.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be working in a commercial and industrial setting, with a variety of tasks to complete on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment and interpret welding process specifications.
  • Hold Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Forklift Operator Certification.
  • Work with steel, iron, and heavy metals, and have experience with gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux core arc welding (FCAW), stud, and multipass welding techniques.
  • Have experience with soldering machine and area of specialization in custom fabrication, structural construction, factory assembly, cast iron, and other metals.
  • Be able to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and have manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Have up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling capacity and own steel-toed safety boots and welding helmet.
  • Be a team player with efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and organization.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field and equivalent experience. You will also need to have a strong understanding of welding processes and techniques, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
