About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Vancouver Pizza Kitchen (Kelowna). As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety standards.
  • Operate dishwashers, wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand, and ensure they are properly stored.
  • Replenish condiments, supplies, and food items in a timely manner to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Prepare and package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with food and supplies.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation and cooking.
Requirements
  • Will train on the job.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 40 hours per week.
