Position Overview:
The role involves ensuring operational excellence in branch customer service and safety by managing all operational functions, delegating tasks, and guiding team members based on their capabilities and business requirements. You will contribute to setting and maintaining branch goals and objectives, reviewing operational functions, and ensuring that all business processes, work instructions, and health and safety procedures are developed, implemented, and monitored.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct Counter, Administrative, and Warehouse Staff to deliver optimal service to our customers, ensuring timely delivery and efficient service to drive business growth.
- Facilitate collaboration among staff to achieve maximum efficiency and branch objectives, coordinating support from the Inside Sales Team as needed.
- Assess daily workloads and assign tasks accordingly.
- Address non-conformance issues promptly to hold staff accountable.
- Identify and implement solutions to enhance service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Conduct timely performance evaluations for all direct reports in alignment with company goals.
- Resolve daily personnel matters requiring supervisory input and notify management as necessary.
- Ensure continuous improvement in administrative task performance, including but not limited to:
- Scorecard items, customer returns and credits processing, vendor returns, yearly returns, and freight claims.
- Tracking and resolving customer shipping errors.
- Manage the Branch Occupational Health and Safety Program, ensuring compliance by staff and customers.
- Train direct reports on all system and branch operational tasks, approved processes, policies, and customer service standards.
- Mentor branch staff on operational tasks to strive for excellence.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counting and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Ensure the branch is organized, clean, and well-merchandised, with up-to-date displays.
- Regularly maintain warehouse and office equipment, addressing any damage promptly.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required.
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety Supervisor Responsibilities (provided by Worksafe/WCB) is required.
- Preferred: College/University Diploma in Business or Sales & Marketing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with WISL freight system and SX system is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in customer service, sales, and/or operations is essential.
- At least one year of experience in a Health and Safety support role.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $50,000-$62,000, with potential for a bonus up to 10%, based on experience.
