Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our team at Bunge. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our canola oil and meal production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of all departmental safety standards, policies, and procedures, and promote a culture of safety compliance among all personnel.
  • Monitor and control all department processes, including equipment operation and maintenance, to ensure target product quality goals and standards are achieved.
  • Make operational decisions that minimize operating the plant at reduced rate and reduce the potential for unscheduled operational downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors and other team members to ensure seamless operation of the plant.
  • Support the activities of personnel during shutdowns to ensure equipment is properly isolated, locked, and tagged, and personnel are following proper safety procedures.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with repairs and perform routine equipment PMs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and notes, and ensure the accuracy of all department logs, notes, and production reports.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 education required.
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Certification or higher required.
  • Ability to work days and nights, with shift schedules subject to change as required by the business.
  • Valid driver's license in the province of Alberta (Class 5 or equivalent) required.
