About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to join our team at Velixo. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the end-to-end test suite for our Microsoft Excel add-in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the end-to-end test suite for our Microsoft Excel add-in
  • Identify and analyze product business logic that requires end-to-end testing
  • Design and develop cross-cutting scenarios that test said logic efficiently, logically, and in a maintainable manner
  • Develop integration/end-to-end tests based on prepared test-cases
  • Maintain existing automated tests
  • Perform exploratory manual testing without a predefined scenario
  • Work with the product manager and developers to find the best testing opportunities
  • Prompt delivery of automated tests covering critical issues
Requirements
  • University degree in a STEM field (computer science, technology, mathematics, or engineering)
  • Good written communication skills in English
  • Working knowledge of SQL/JSON syntax, XML, XML Schema, XPath, HTML, CSS
  • Ability to read, understand, and develop code in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience in writing automated testing scripts using Selenium Web Driver/Playwright or alternatives
  • Experience in exploratory and/or manual regression testing of desktop or web-based software
  • Technical writing skills for producing clean and concise test-cases
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent productivity without sacrificing quality
  • Experience working with business/ERP software
  • Database and Web API testing skills using DBMS queries and REST clients
