Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a General Farm Worker. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of farm operations, including the care and maintenance of our pig herd.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with feeding and general care of pigs
• Maintain herd health and environment for pigs
• Perform pressure washing and room preparation tasks
• Conduct general maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties
• Maintain door charts, inventory trackers, and order feed and medication as needed

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and strong team and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Positive work ethic and attitude, with attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously
• Ability to lift 25kg
• Valid driver's license and ability to get to and from work located in a rural area
• Weekend, holiday hours, and alarm attending required on a rotational basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hog production considered an asset
