About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at 2837832 ONTARIO INC. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring they are clean, dry, and free of debris.
  • Mortar Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a uniform and aesthetically pleasing finish.
  • Obstacle Navigation: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Tile Repair: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Underbed Construction: Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
  • Material Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for tile installation projects.
  • Terra Surface Installation: Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
  • Tile Strip Installation: Install tile strips.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
