Job Title: Lead Data Risk Project H/F

As a key member of our team at Manitoba Public Insurance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our underwriting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, standards, and practices to ensure consistency and accuracy in our underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with management and underwriting teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to our underwriting processes.
  • Assess the execution of underwriting controls and standards, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to the business.
  • Stay up-to-date on provincial and federal issues and regulations, industry activity, and trends, and share knowledge with others.
  • Provide guidance and direction in the development of underwriting and training tools in partnership with the Director, Special Risk Extension.
Requirements:
  • Seven years of related, progressive experience in an insurance environment, including experience in commercial and/or fleet underwriting.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, policies, procedures, and practices applicable to automobile insurance and registration.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of underwriting practices for automobile, general liability, and motor truck cargo.
  • Demonstrated experience working with business partners and relationship building.
