About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to drive Clio's total rewards philosophy, including compensation, payroll, reward & recognition, and benefits. As a trusted partner and leader within the People organization, you will report directly to the Chief People Officer and serve as a key advisor on all total rewards matters.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Championing Total Rewards Philosophy: Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns with Clio's culture and business objectives.
  2. Leading Global Total Rewards: Oversee global compensation and benefits, executive compensation, job architecture, compensation cycle systems and processes, promotion processes, long-term incentive programs, equity planning, incentive and recognition programs, and global payroll.
  3. Staying Ahead of Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with market trends and provide expertise and thought leadership to design, implement, manage, and evolve total rewards programs that are equitable, scalable, performance-driven, attract and retain top talent, and are aligned with Clio's culture and strategic business priorities.
  4. Optimizing Job Architecture: Continually optimize our job architecture framework for scale and effectiveness in attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
  5. Leading a Team: Lead and inspire a team composed of functional experts in compensation, benefits, and payroll. Provide clarity, vision, and coaching for individuals and the team.
  6. Developing Complex Strategies: Lead the development and execution of complex cross-functional strategies to address opportunities and issues in the areas of Total Rewards.
  7. Presenting Findings and Recommendations: Present findings and recommendations in a compelling way at an executive level.
  8. Monitoring Total Rewards Programs: Monitor total rewards programs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  9. Ensuring a Fair and Equitable Workplace: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and market trends impacting compensation and benefits, proactively amend policies and programs to ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, data privacy, and financial and SOX controls.
  10. Partnering with Stakeholders: Partner closely with other members of the People Leadership Team, our Finance team, and executive team members to deliver on our commitment for competitive and impactful total rewards that attract and retain top talent.
  11. Measuring Impact and Effectiveness: Create the infrastructure for measuring impact and effectiveness of our Total Rewards programs.
  12. Coordinating Efforts: Partner as a senior leader in the broader People team, ensuring efforts are coordinated across all People and delivering a seamless employee experience.
  13. Maintaining Relationships: Maintain and facilitate relationships between senior leadership and external consultants as needed.
  14. Managing Conflicting Priorities: Manage conflicting priorities to deliver highest value initiatives that support key business objectives while respecting organizational and team capacity.
  15. Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
Requirements
  1. 8+ Years of Relevant Global Total Rewards Experience: Proven experience in global total rewards, including global benefits, cash compensation, long-term incentive programs, including equity management.
  2. High-Growth SaaS Company Experience: Experience working in a high-growth SaaS company, preferably with experience in NAMER, EMEA & APAC regions.
  3. Experience Leading a Global Total Rewards Team: Experience leading a global total rewards team, ideally in a rapidly scaling global business, attracting and retaining talent in a competitive landscape.
  4. Demonstrated Experience Shaping Total Rewards Strategies: Demonstrated experience shaping total rewards strategies, working with and influencing executive stakeholders and engaging in preparation of proposals to the Board of Directors (Compensation Committee).
  5. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to package and present complex analyses and recommendations clearly.
  6. Operates with Strong Judgment and Creativity: Operates with strong judgment, creativity, agility, and flexibility; proactively recommending and adapting programs based on a keen sense of the market and how talent strategies should evolve.
  7. Data-Driven Leader: Data-driven leader with a strong ability to analyze and turn data into insights and action plans aligned with company direction.
  8. People-Centric Leader: A people-centric leader committed to building a high-performing team, inclusive leadership, a high level of partnership and collaboration across the People team and with key stakeholders across the business, continual growth and development of key skills, capabilities, and knowledge across the team.
  9. Experience with Tools: Experience with tools such as Radford, Pave, Workday Advanced Compensation, and ADP highly desired.
  10. Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with Variable Compensation Methodologies: Experience with variable compensation methodologies and design.
  2. Experience with Both Private and Publicly Traded Companies: Experience working with both private, high-growth SaaS and publicly traded companies.
  3. Leading Payroll Teams: Experience leading payroll teams.
