Job Summary:

The Manager, Conferences and Events is responsible for leading the planning and execution of conferences and events for our clients. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction to clients on the development and implementation of communications and event-based initiatives
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Develop and implement event communications plans, marketing strategies, and sponsorship programs
  • Identify and contract event suppliers, moderators, speakers, and entertainers
  • Manage event logistics, including transportation, access control, and crowd control
  • Develop and monitor client event budgets

Requirements:

  • University or post-secondary degree in a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of event logistics experience in an agency or business environment
  • Experience managing accounts and clients
  • Experience working with the media, community, and corporate partners
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
