Urologist Opportunity at Manitoba Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Urologist to join our team at Manitoba Health. As a Urologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays, and consulting with other physicians as required.

Main job duties include:

  • Diagnosing and treating diseases
  • Prescribing medications and treatment
  • Ordering lab tests and x-rays
  • Consulting with other physicians as required

The successful candidate will also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba.

The position encompasses inpatient and ambulatory patient care responsibilities and requires individuals with clinical and teaching skills to further the aims of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and tertiary care medicine.

The candidate will be expected to conduct independent research and supervise post-graduate trainees conducting research. The position will be located primarily at Health Sciences Centre, with secondary responsibility at other sites within the region.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Urology
  • Fellowship training in endourology and minimally invasive surgery
  • Clinical research experience
  • Additional post-graduate training in education or research an asset
