Job Summary

Southern Delights Indian Cuisines Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and maintain efficient systems for food preparation, portion control, and inventory management to meet the demands of our restaurant.

Supervise and Train Kitchen Staff

Lead and motivate a team of cooks, dishwashers, and other kitchen staff to ensure they are performing at their best. Provide guidance and training on food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate and order ingredients and supplies to meet the needs of our menu and daily operations. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, waste, and repairs to optimize our inventory management.

Ensure Quality Control and Food Safety

Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Maintain Accurate Records

Keep detailed records of sales, inventory, and other key metrics to inform business decisions and optimize operations.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Personal Qualities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule of 35-40 hours per week. The work language is English.
