We are seeking an experienced and innovative Medical Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC. As an Onsite Medical Representative, you will play a critical role in providing medical support and promoting health and safety within our workplace.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical support and first aid to employees, including triage, prompt first aid, and referral to outside medical providers as needed.
- Minimize the risk of injury to employees through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided to employees.
- Develop and implement first aid care plans for employees recovering from injuries.
- Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work processes for employees with work-related injuries.
- Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
- Engage with employees and managers to coach on observed at-risk work habits.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including medical supply inventory.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Valid certification in primary care paramedicine, emergency medical technology, or licensed practical nursing.
- Valid first aid certification with CPR/AED level A or C.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Certification to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with industrial wellness programs.
- Passion for promoting health and wellness.
- Experience coaching on body mechanics and managing musculoskeletal disorders.
