Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer 2 to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for protecting our assets and providing a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards
  • Enforce restricted access to unauthorized persons
  • Observe transactions, slot drops, and transfer items to Lost & Found
  • Perform identification checks on guests under 30
  • Refer disputes to the Security Supervisor
  • Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property
  • Escort guests and employees
  • Perform crowd control as directed
  • Attend to first aid incidents
  • Assist the Security Supervisor with enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
  • Two years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Previous experience or training in security an asset
  • Valid class driver's license
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Inquisitive and investigative mind with the ability to identify suspicious behaviors/transactions and make sound judgments
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Able to organize data with great accuracy
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation an asset
  • Self-motivator and ability to inspire other team members in enhancing the guest experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures at all times
  • Ability to work independently with good judgment and discretion under pressure
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment

This is a regular casino environment with standing and walking for long periods of time, some elements of danger, some exposure to the elements, some exposure to noise, and non-traditional work hours.
