Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Specialist to provide nurturing and responsible care for children in a private household setting. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children while assisting with their daily needs.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking household.
  • Work will be conducted in the employer's residence.
  • Optional live-in accommodation may be available at no cost, though this is not a requirement for employment.
  • Room and board will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
  • Shop for groceries and household necessities.
  • Handle laundry, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and linens.
  • Discipline children according to parental guidelines.
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy home environment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • Supervise and provide care for children.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist children with their homework.
Safety and Security
  • A criminal record check will be required.
Transportation Information
  • Public transportation options are accessible.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
