Job Title: Industrial Mechanic and Millwright

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic and Millwright to join our team at DPEC FOOD SOLUTIONS INC. in Canada.

Job Description:

Job Summary: As an Industrial Mechanic and Millwright, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery in a food processing plant environment. You will work on various projects, including machinery installation, setup, and repair, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Install and commission systems and components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced food processing plant environment with a focus on safety and quality. The work will involve standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as working in a noisy environment.
