We are seeking a skilled Specialty Foods Baker to join our team at 2848817 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.
Responsibilities:- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
- Prepare special orders and ensure that products meet established standards.
- Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory to prevent waste and ensure availability of ingredients.
- Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Dependability, reliability, and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Free parking available.
- Permanent employment with 37.5 hours per week.
- English language of work.
