Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our client web services infrastructure, including initial setup, automated deployment, release management, client support, and 24x7 monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Support and maintain our cloud infrastructure on a 24x7x365 basis, ensuring stability and reliability.
- Operational Deliverables: Prioritize operational deliverables with production teams and interface with development teams to communicate issues and recommend improvements.
- Monitoring and Automation: Continuously monitor systems to ensure stability and reliability, and implement incremental automation to streamline standard operating procedures.
- Incident Response: Foster our policies and procedures in the areas of incident response and monitoring, and coordinate technical resolution of major incidents.
- Task Management: Manage task assignments to ensure commitments are delivered on time.
- 4 or more years of hands-on system administrator experience in an internet-focused production environment.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, bash).
- Hands-on experience with cloud-computing stacks (AWS, Azure, RackSpace, etc).
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VirtualBox, HyperV, VMWare).
- Experience with system and network monitoring (Nagios, Zabbix, Microsoft SCM).
- Thorough understanding of networking concepts and Internet protocols.
