Oracle PL/SQL Developer

NTT DATA Services is seeking a highly skilled PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative and innovative environment.

As a key member of our development team, you will play a vital role in enhancing and maintaining Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) and bespoke applications. Your expertise in PL/SQL will be instrumental in delivering robust and efficient solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Client Managers, Project Coordinators, Business Analysts, and Testing Teams to ensure timely project completion and issue resolution.
  • Analyze technical issues reported by client teams, identifying root causes and implementing effective remediation strategies using Oracle PL/SQL and related technologies.
  • Participate actively in daily SCRUM meetings, planning sessions, and status updates to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct peer reviews, code analysis, and impact assessments of modules developed by team members.
  • Identify areas requiring documentation and ensure comprehensive documentation is created and maintained.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of proven experience in PL/SQL and SQL development.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle PL/SQL concepts, including Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Hints, and data migration scripts.
  • Expertise in developing and debugging complex PL/SQL packages involving large datasets, Collections, and advanced communication with Oracle databases.
  • Experience with DBLinks, Hints, Performance Tuning, and handling Database Locks.
  • Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting with intermediate debugging and development skills.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Stash, GITHUB, SourceTree, clearcase), Release Management build tools (Jenkins, buildforge), and collaboration tools (Confluence, sharepoint).
  • Experience working within an Agile Development Environment and exposure to SCRUM Tools and methodology.

  • Core Java Development experience.
  • Springboot, UI (Angular) development skills.
  • Experience in the US Health benefits/Healthcare domain.
  • Oracle Applications (R12) knowledge.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
