Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor at 2783753 Ontario Inc involves overseeing daily operations within a food service environment, ensuring that high standards of quality and service are maintained.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment

This position is set within a dynamic food service establishment, where the supervisor will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve work schedules.
  • Provide training to staff regarding their job responsibilities, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Assess and determine the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Prepare financial budgets and cost projections.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Compile and submit necessary reports.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the culinary styles offered by the establishment.
  • Organize and establish work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The supervisor will manage a team of approximately 11-15 individuals.

Certifications and Licenses
  • Possession of a Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable.
  • A criminal record check is necessary.
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced work environment with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Job involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.

Experience

Prior experience in a similar role is considered an asset. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 35 hours per week.
