POSITION PURPOSE:
The Network Operations Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive operational support for Network Services, which includes Firewall, Load Balancer, VPN, DHCP, DNS, SIP, SNMP, and ISP infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, implement, monitor, and configure CPR's Firewall, Load Balancer, VPN, DHCP, SIP, SNMP, and ISP infrastructure across North America, aligning with our telecommunications strategy.
- Offer technological consultation for various application and infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, F5, and Infoblox is preferred.
- Respond to service disruptions with prompt corrective measures and take overall responsibility for complex LAN/WAN/Internet-related critical outages, collaborating with Telecom Architecture, Design, and Project teams as necessary.
- Analyze and evaluate service outages through troubleshooting and knowledge management, working with internal and external service stakeholders to provide proactive Disaster Recovery.
- Participate in On-Call support for the network services infrastructure.
- Assist the business in proposing solutions to operational challenges.
- Engage with CPR's Network Services vendors to ensure alignment with established architecture and standards.
- Collaborate with F5 and Firewall vendors on service-related issues, ensuring effective communication and timely use of contingency and failover options, contributing to the development and maintenance of CPR's IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Develop proof-of-concept models to illustrate proposed architectural and design modifications.
- Create documentation and guide users on the functionality and interaction of various F5/Firewall/Internet services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of F5, Firewall, and Internet services.
- Strong experience with enterprise-level F5 and Firewall implementations.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues with end users and vendors regarding F5, Firewall, and Internet services.
- Strong capability to triage service issues and proactively initiate restoration solutions.
- Understanding of how network services infrastructure interacts with Information System Applications.
- Specific expertise in IP protocol conversion.
- Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with various management levels.

Management Conductor Program:
