Lead CT Technologist

Educational Qualifications: Completion of an accredited program recognized by the AMA is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with registration in the relevant specialty.

Professional Experience: An advanced degree in healthcare education or relevant coursework in management or interpersonal relations is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and possess strong interpersonal skills. A minimum of two years of experience in a related role is preferred.

Certification Requirements: Must hold ARRT Certification, current certification with the State of Florida Radiation Control (HRS), and CPR certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the designated section to ensure efficient delivery of radiological services to patients.
  • Manage patient flow in accordance with departmental policies and effectively schedule support staff.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and ensure adherence to quality control standards as per departmental protocols.
  • Maintain open communication with the radiology director, manager, and fellow lead technologists.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all equipment operations and stay updated on advancements in the assigned area.
  • Exhibit proficiency in performing technologist duties within the designated area.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and certification standards, overseeing all aspects of the assigned section.
  • Promote adherence to departmental and clinic policies and procedures among staff.
  • Develop and revise section policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, evaluate, and train staff as needed.
  • Provide effective counseling to support staff and follow the clinic's corrective action policies.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive demeanor during stressful situations.
