We are seeking a skilled Glass Tempering Technician to join our team at Durabuilt Windows & Doors.
Job SummaryThe Glass Tempering Technician will be responsible for setting up and adjusting glass and glass product finishing machines, operating machines that press or blow molten glass in moulds to form or shape containers, and ensuring the quality of the finished products.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and adjust glass and glass product finishing machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate machines that press or blow molten glass in moulds to form or shape containers, ensuring precision and quality.
- Spray or swab moulds with oil solutions to prevent adhesion of glass, maintaining a clean and efficient production process.
- Place sheet of glass on padded table or in jig and measure and mark glass, ensuring accurate cuts and shapes.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
- Ability to work 32 hours per week in a fast-paced production environment.
The Glass Tempering Technician will work in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment, with a focus on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
