Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation and Support Services

The Physiotherapist plays a vital role in our healthcare team, collaborating with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participating in the evaluation of team effectiveness, solving problems, and sharing responsibilities. The Physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. The Physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers with regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment, and pain management. The Physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or an acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy, current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy, and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. The candidate will also have thorough knowledge of Physiotherapy practice, with an interest in program development and evaluation skills. Strong client focus, collaboration, and teamwork skills are essential, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. Leadership abilities and planning, organization, and time management skills are also required. Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French preferred.
HoursThis is a casual relief position, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The Physiotherapist will work in a variety of settings, including tertiary care hospitals and community-based programs.
Compensation and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from $33.97 to $42.89 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, and a pension plan, will also be provided.
