**About the Opportunity**:
The Physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager. The Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. Physiotherapy assessment involves obtaining a detailed medical history, performing specific and standardized tests and evaluation procedures to determine a physical diagnosis. Holistic treatment programs are developed using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical and hydrotherapy techniques to assist the patient in regaining and/or maintaining an optimal level of function. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members and caregivers with regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and patient management. The physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and rehabilitation assistants. The physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager and as a member of a clinical team, the physiotherapist collaborates with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participates in the evaluation of team effectiveness, and solves problems and shares responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College or Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
- Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Microsoft Outlook)
- Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
- Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification. (WHMIS)
- Experience in outpatient physiotherapy practice aligned with a self-management model.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$33.31 Hourly
