Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote skill development and peer support.
  • Effectively manage a caseload of patients, ensuring timely and coordinated care.
  • Contribute to program development and improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise student placements and provide mentorship opportunities.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals experiencing various mental health conditions.
  • Proven ability to facilitate therapeutic group sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of discharge planning principles and processes.
