This is a permanent position, working in a hybrid mode, with an hourly salary to be discussed based on experience. The role is based on a 40-hour workweek.

This position is a fixed-term contract for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension or permanent status depending on performance and business needs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Systems Management: Maintain and manage IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Technical Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems encountered by users.
  • Incident Management: Manage incidents and level 2 and 3 support requests, in collaboration with the support team.
  • Hardware and Software Installation: Install, configure, and update hardware and software.
  • IT Project Planning: Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system migrations, new software deployments, etc.
  • IT Security: Ensure the security of IT systems, including management of firewalls, antivirus, and other security solutions.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document technical procedures and configurations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge bases.
  • Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor junior technicians on the team.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Technology Watch: Maintain a technology watch to recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' professional experience as an IT technician or in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and/or MacOS environments - knowledge of AD, Office 365.
  • Solid network administration skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
  • Experience in server management (physical and virtual) and storage systems.
  • Proven competence in IT security and risk management.
  • Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) is an asset.
