Job Title: Gas Technician

We are seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team at JAG N PAL INC.

Job Summary:

The Gas Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas heating units and their components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of gas fitting and safety procedures, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install gas heating units and their components
  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
  • Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components
Requirements:
  • Gas Fitter Trade Certification
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces
