We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Waterloo. As a Research Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our research initiatives and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of physical chemistry.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Experience: Assist in the analysis of research results and preparation of journal articles, papers, reports, and chapters of books. Collaborate with researchers to compile research results and conduct literature reviews, surveys, laboratory experiments, and other research for academic publications.
- Communication and Teamwork: Lead discussion groups and seminars, answer inquiries from students, and process files and paperwork. Supervise field experience for graduate students in clinical and counselling areas.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) and other relevant software. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, large workloads, and a high level of attention to detail. Collaborate with a team of researchers and students to achieve project goals.
- Education: Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in research and academic settings.
- Language: Fluency in English.
