Position Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing daily store functions, including opening and closing procedures, while ensuring a high standard of customer service. This position involves supervising team members, maintaining store presentation, and serving as a resource for staff knowledge. Responsibilities include overseeing staff performance, assisting with cash handling, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Retail Operations Supervisor is also responsible for addressing employee concerns and customer inquiries effectively.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the opening and closing of the retail store, including security system operations.
  2. Welcome and assist customers, setting a standard for exemplary service.
  3. Deliver outstanding customer service, fostering relationships and providing product insights.
  4. Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  5. Encourage a commitment to high service standards and exceed customer expectations.
  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  7. Address and resolve customer complaints with professionalism.
  8. Assist in executing sales strategies and motivating the sales team to meet objectives.
  9. Communicate any changes in policies, products, or promotions effectively.
  10. Identify and propose technological solutions to enhance customer experiences.
  11. Report team member issues to management as necessary.
  12. Act as a champion for compliance and education within the team.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  3. Proven experience in customer service roles.
  4. Clear criminal background check.
  5. Certification in provincial cannabis regulations.
Work Environment
  1. Manual dexterity for computer and equipment use.
  2. Ability to stand for extended periods.
  3. Capability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  4. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
