Retail Operations Supervisor

Position Type: Permanent

Work Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week

Educational Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience Required: 1 to 2 years in a similar role or equivalent experience

Work Environment: Non-smoking, Air-conditioned setting

Work Setting: Retail service establishment with on-site customer interaction

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage staff including apprentices and design teams
  • Delegate tasks to sales personnel
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members
  • Manage inventory orders
  • Authorize merchandise returns
  • Create and maintain work schedules
  • Engage in direct sales activities
  • Compile reports on sales performance, merchandising strategies, and staffing issues
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and supply challenges
  • Organize and supervise inventory management
  • Coordinate team activities and workflow
  • Handle cash management duties
  • Conduct performance evaluations

Supervision: Responsible for a team of 3-4 individuals

Specialization Area: Retail operations

Transportation Requirements: Must have own transportation; vehicle may be provided by employer

Physical and Work Conditions: Attention to detail required; role involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking

Personal Attributes: Must demonstrate accuracy, client-focused approach, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication, flexibility, organizational skills, reliability, teamwork, dependability, initiative, judgment, and multitasking ability.
