We are seeking a skilled Specialty Foods Baker to join our team at Ontario Inc.
Job Summary:The Specialty Foods Baker will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of specialty foods, including bread, pastries, and sweet goods. This is a key role in our bakery operations and requires a high level of skill and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and bake a variety of specialty foods, including bread, pastries, and sweet goods.
- Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Bake mixed dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Prepare special orders and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Draw up production schedules and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or food production environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
- Dependability and reliability in meeting production schedules and deadlines.
- Free parking available.
