Job Summary:

The Specialty Foods Baker will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of specialty foods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Bake mixed dough and batters
  • Prepare special orders
  • Draw up production schedules
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas
  • Operate machinery
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
