Manager of Transportation Equipment Maintenance
Become a vital part of a customer-centric transportation organization within the perishables sector as a Manager of Transportation Equipment Maintenance. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Fleet Management, you will leverage your extensive experience in fleet operations to lead the Maintenance team and oversee a variety of responsibilities, including staff management and motivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee shop operations, technician schedules, and work order management
- Collaborate with third-party service providers to implement maintenance programs
- Ensure prompt repairs and appropriate equipment utilization
- Conduct inspections of units for cleanliness, damage, and mechanical issues
- Perform test drives to verify equipment functionality
- Maintain and update maintenance records and equipment inventories
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance services with dispatchers
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies
- Drive operational enhancements and strategic objectives
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in fleet maintenance
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and TMS
