About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our Engineering Services team at 09 Irving Oil Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of capital projects, focusing on refinery sustaining capital projects, renewable energy projects, hydrogen and biofuels projects, carbon capture and sequestration projects, and clean fuel regulations projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or actively participate in Front End Loading (FEL) 1 and FEL 2 project activities, including project design intent documents and benefits analyses.
  • Communicate and collaborate with project sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Develop and facilitate project work and studies with 3rd party consultants, technology licensors, and engineering contractors.
  • Support the development of project schedules, project execution plans, and cost estimates.
  • Support detailed engineering, construction, and start-up activities associated with projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with P.Eng. or working towards P.Eng.
  • 8+ years of Refinery/Oil & Gas or Power Generation experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Refinery/Oil & Gas process engineering
  • Refinery process technology knowledge/design experience an asset
  • Process simulation skills/experience an asset
  • Experience representing the interests of refinery owner/operator in capital project development is a strong asset
