About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Custom Wood Furniture Craftsman to join our team at Best Buy Mattress Country Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom wood furniture products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Design: Review detailed plans, specifications, and drawings of custom furniture pieces to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Manufacturing: Trim joints, assemble parts, and subassemblies to create complete units and strengthen joints.
  • Finishing: Sand wooden surfaces, apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and use laminated plastics.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our design team to bring custom furniture designs to life.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or another non-university certification or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience in woodworking or a related field is considered an advantage.
