Lead Hand, Mixing Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Hand to join our team at Baxter's Alliston facility. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading and developing staff, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring the quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of manufacturing staff to achieve high-quality production and meet customer requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects and initiatives forward.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including GMP, OSHA, and SHE.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and processes to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; university degree or certification in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or continuous improvement in a GMP environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is an asset.
