Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer

Job Summary:

Applied Materials is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cloud-based solutions that meet the business needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Azure PaaS services, and serverless computing.
  • Partner with senior executives, line-of-business leaders, and technical teams to develop and implement cloud strategies.
  • Apply governance methodologies to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise to the team on cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and vision for cloud-based solutions.
  • Foster technical acumen and maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends, opportunities, and insights.
  • Advise stakeholders on cloud-based solutions and translate business requirements into designs for secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Requirements:

  • 6-10+ years of experience in technology solutions/practice development, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud application design, software architecture and practices, cloud application development solutions, and DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging computing trends, and their impact on partner practice building opportunities.
  • Understanding of Data & AI technologies in context of app development and low-code platform technologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Certification in cloud, mobile, web application development, cloud-native application architecture, modern software development techniques, and container orchestration systems preferred.
