About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support with Daily Tasks: Help patients with meal preparation, feeding, and serving meal trays.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Respond to call signals, determine patients' needs, and communicate with healthcare staff.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure patients' rooms are clean and tidy, and maintain inventory of supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Hospital/medical facility or clinic.
