Position Overview
We are seeking a Property Claims Adjuster to contribute to our operations. This role involves a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with office responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating, assessing, negotiating, and resolving commercial property claims through various communication methods. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the precise documentation, reporting, and presentation of claims files.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting interviews with claimants and witnesses
- Gathering necessary official documentation
- Evaluating claims information against supporting evidence
- Assessing liability for claims
- Extending settlement offers to claimants
- Issuing payments
- Managing salvage disposal
- Pursuing subrogation opportunities
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, including presenting evidence in legal settings
- Ensuring precise billing and tracking of time and expenses
- Collaborating with management to uphold client relationships
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an insurance claims setting, with a strong focus on property claims. Familiarity with commercial lines is advantageous.
- Post-secondary education in a field related to insurance, actively pursuing full licensure and CIP designation
- Proficient in Claims Management Systems, ensuring detailed and accurate activity, transaction, and reserve records
- Advanced proficiency in Office 365 applications
- Exceptional communication abilities
- A collaborative team player with a strong dedication to quality and customer service
