Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our Reactivation Care Centre Unit 2 and 3, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission of delivering outstanding healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing the needs of our geriatric patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Assess, educate, and support patients in maintaining their health and well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical and/or clinical nursing experience working with older adult, dementia, and cognitively impaired populations.
  • Recent health assessment course.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
